Joe (Sr.) has been in the practice of law in Fort Wayne, Indiana since December 8, 1954. He retired fully from practice November 11, 2010. While in practice, Joe's areas of practice included real estate, general business transactions, personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
Prior to retiring, Joe was a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Allen County Bar Association and Indiana State Bar Association.

Helped found Fort Wayne Committee on Alcoholism, Allen County Mental Health Association, and Citizen’s for City Light.
Served on Board of Community Harvest Food Bank, City of Fort Wayne Plan Commission, Family and Children’s Services.
Elected as Judge of the City Court of Fort Wayne, 1964-1968.
